How many push-ups can you do?
Half of one. The part where I'm lowering myself down.
Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
I'll be going to Kristen's house with my girls as it is our last day together before I am on vacation for 3 weeks in south east Asia. We will probably ring in the new year eastern time, (9pm) watching the ball drop in New York City on tv and then head home for a good sleep. I am off on the 3pm ferry tomorrow to Vancouver and will stay with a friend there for the night. Wednesday at 12:45, I'll be on a 16hr flight to Hong Kong and then a 4hr flight onward to Singapore.
So to answer the next question, who do I wish could be with me and will not be? Photo directly above:(
I can wait, I'll have him all to myself for the next 3 weeks:) Happy New Year sweet. It happened 20 minutes ago for you and you are sleeping:)
Who do you want to be caught under the mistletoe with this holiday season?
Submitted by An Ebony Epicurean.
Nicholas. My biggest wish would be for a New Years' kiss, but I'll take the long-awaited kiss at the airport 2 days later;-)
Is there such thing as virtual mistletoe?
Do you tend to like music in particular genres, or are your tastes all over the place? What are your most and least favorite musical genres?
I do. I am really drawn to electronic music right now. It's fairly a new thing for me, however I've always liked it. In the past, it just wasn't something that was right in front of me so much and getting info on what was good came from very few sources. Nick has rekindled my appreciation for it and I admit, I can't go a day without getting my 'fix.' 'Psy-trance' is my preferred genre, however 'Ambient' is always a good way to chill-out for me after the kids go to bed. Here's a link to 'Chromonova'...I listen to this daily:
'Indie' is right up there. 'Punk'-ROCKS and 'Matt Good' just stands on his own in my world:)
Today is Veterans Day. Is there anyone you know who has served or is serving in the military that you'd like to honor today?
It is also, 'Remembrance Day' in Canada. I honour today, my late grandfather on my Dad's side. He served in both wars flying in the airforce. He didn't lose his life in the war but did put his life at risk for our country and did so with so much pride. Both my Papa's and my Nana's perspectives about those years are facinating. Though my Nana repeats her war-time tales to us, I completely understand why those years stand out for her and how much they mean to her so I willl always give her my undivided attention:)
Today, I am also honouring all the people serving in Afghanistan. The tragic reason for the start to this war is something nobody who lived that day will ever forget. The 'War on Terrorism' is such a catastrophic war and those over there, fighting for Peace, should be thought of today with utmost respect. Many Canadians have died in Afghanistan and today my heart ultimately goes out to those families who have suffered a loss. In fact, all families in this world that have suffered a loss from war are in my thoughts today.
Peace.
Film & TV writers are on strike, which means everything except reality TV could halt production. Do you support the strike? Are any of your favorite shows in jeopardy?
Considering I watch '0' television, then no...won't affect this gal! I watch Lost but I'm still behind because I can't be bothered to download the rest of season 2 and actually pencil in time to sit on the sofa. So I guess what I'm saying is...if I can't even be bothered to catch up on my favorite and only tv show, than anything else on the tube is even less important to me! ;-)
What is the best beer on planet Earth?
Submitted by Remmy Van Hornie.
Oh my! Given my er, um...'repuatation,' over the last few months...*/coughs out the words* 'after meeting Brittney and Kyle...,' you'd think I'd have a simple answer to this question! I'm spinning! Where do I begin?
I do enjoy our local brewing pubs in Victoria and thank them with all my heart and soul for devoting such deliberation to the divine outcome of their recipes. The Canoe is probably my favorite, brewing 'Siren's Song Pale Ale' and 'Red Canoe Lager,' which I thoroughly enjoy every sip of every time I return.
Swans makes a good IPA as does Spinnakers Brew Pub.
I do like a good Stella or Corona when it's really hot out and I'm thirsty for something other than water;-)
And last but not least...RACE ROCKS deserves a bow. Thank you Lighthouse Brewing Co. I truly love you and will forever and ever. You are the official beer of not only The Victoria Grid Project but Canada is Hot Week as well. You hold your own spot on this list but my only request is could you please, please present yourself in bottle form??!!
Which runway show at New York Fashion Week do you wish you could attend?
Tommy H ;-) are you kidding me?!
Uh...none of the above and/or listed. I'm fashionably challenged probably because I just don't care. My friend Kristen tries to educate me about fashion constantly. Like anyone with a short attention span, and no desire to wear stilettos, it goes in one ear and out the other!
Nick, can you see through to the other side? ;-)
