Well here it is the start of a new year. Lets just say last year had a lot of good times and a few bad times.
The good times...had a wonderful wedding. Daughter Lyndsay married Colin McGuire, the family has expanded somewhat.
Anyway I plan to do a bit of record keeping on line; maybe it will help me with some of my woes.
Started the morning off like usual with the alarm going off at 9:00. Now to most that’s a real sleep in, but for me it is normal get up time. Did my usual hit the snooze and back to sleep...didn't expect company. Our large orange fur ball Gerry the cat hoists himself up on the bed and decides that it is time to get me up.
Now that is not normal for Gerry but this morning he decides it's a good idea. He has a irritating way of standing next to you and picking with one claw into the blanket or pillow that is closest to your head, Grrr, it drives me crazy. Well it worked, after 3 snoozes buttons up I get.
Put on the kettle give the cats their treats make a coffee and hope back into bed to watch the weather, some news and just plan old surf a bit.
Ten o’clock hunger kicks in, and up I get and to the kitchen to fry up some baloney and a couple of eggs...sound good doesn't it :)
After that it is on to the computer to check out our retirement funds...which have crashed through the basement. Talk to Chris and we decide we have to take some drastic measures to salvage the little bit we have. Well that's what we have been struggling with for most of the day.
The rest of the day just mess around on the computer and fill out forms with Chris…we have to make some changes.
Gee, It's been quite a while since I last posted.
This could be because of the "new" much improved life style Chris and I are having now. For those who don't know we have just spent 2 weeks visiting family in Victoria BC.
It is a beautiful place for those who have not had the opportunity to visit for any extended time. This trip will be our fourth.
We had great weather with only 1 day of rain in 14 days. The temperature held a 17 C to 24 C. great for walking and exploring.
But alas...we are home. Here are a few photos to help you appreciate what I'm referring too.
